Orac, an international expert in decorative interior solutions, took a bold step towards the future. They opted for an ambitious e-commerce strategy: one central platform for both consumer (B2C) and professional (B2B) customers. Internally called “OneSite,” this initiative brings together all of their online commercial activities. The first major milestone has already been reached: the brand-new B2C webshop went live in February 2025. The B2B environment is actively being developed and will follow later this year.
The challenge: from complex to clear
Previously, Orac operated with two separate setups for their B2C and B2B shops—resulting in double maintenance, dual updates, and an inconsistent customer experience. B2C lacked proper integration with ERP and CRM systems, making customer insights and follow-up more difficult. The central question was clear: how do we bring everything together into one powerful, scalable, and manageable solution?



The solution: OneSite, a unified Magento installation
With OneSite, Orac transitioned to a single Magento setup with multiple storefronts. Both B2C and B2B customers get their own journey, with tailored access rights and functionalities, while sharing the same backend infrastructure. This results in one streamlined, future-proof e-commerce environment that’s easier to manage and built for growth.
The B2C part is already live, and the B2B solution is well on its way.
What makes this project stand out?
This project shines thanks to a mix of complex yet essential solutions:
- Multilingual and Multi-Currency: the shop supports multiple languages and currencies for international reach.
- Unified Experience: a seamless narrative across B2C and B2B, with features like Quick Order for B2B users.
- Unique Product Structures: products sharing the same SKU but used differently? We made this possible through custom Magento development—similar to picking a clothing item and selecting the size or color afterward.
- Full Integration: deep connections with ERP and CRM systems like Akeneo, SAP, DIP (middleware), Salesforce, and payment providers (Multisafepay & Przeleze24). The goal: centralize operations through middleware.
- Agile Product Management: the Akeneo PIM model was restructured into a more user-friendly setup for smoother workflows.



Hyvä Frontend: speed and SEO power
One of the highlights of this project is the integration of the Hyvä frontend, delivering a lightning-fast, modern, and SEO-optimized experience. Thanks to its lightweight architecture, the new storefront is quicker and easier to find. Load times (LCP, FCP, TTFB) are significantly improved.
We also enhanced the user experience with a smooth checkout flow, guest checkout, and social login - making it even easier for customers to complete purchases.
Long-term benefits and scalability
This setup brings immediate improvements and long-term advantages:
- Easy expansion: One admin panel to manage all languages, currencies, and markets.
- Efficient maintenance: Updates and security patches only need to be applied once, reducing costs and improving security.
- Better customer insights: Thanks to the deep ERP/CRM integration, Orac now gets much richer data on customer behavior.

Going live with the B2C webshop already delivered strong results:
- A completely redesigned homepage, inspiration pages, store locator, and product detail pages.
- A significant performance boost with Hyvä: faster load times (LCP, FCP, TTFB).
