What is Google Tag Manager now?

You can use Google Tag Manager to create tags (fragments of JavaScript) and pass them to another system (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel,...). Placing a container tag from GTM on the website keeps the code clean, so this is another one of the many advantages of Google tag manager.

Who is Google Tag Manager for?

By itself, anyone with a little technical knowledge can get started with Google Tag Manager. Now if you are a seasoned digital marketer or an enthusiast, you can certainly do some useful implementations with GTM. The slightly more technical features do require a bit of technical knowledge and digital strategy. Also, you always have to be careful that nothing breaks or slows down on the website during go live. This is why debugging and testing is always necessary, but of course we will come back to this in another article.
